Power-pram Workout
Power pramming is the latest postnatal fitness trend sweeping the nation for new mums who want to get back into shape whilst working out “with” their babies. With guidance of a qualified instructor, mothers keen to lose weight and regain their pre-pregnancy shape perform routines based around the pram that concentrate on toning the legs, bums, shoulders and arms, as well as working the heart and lungs. The prams are then put to one side and the mum’s workout in front of their babies with a mixture of exercises and static holds to work the stomach and core muscles. This class is not just great for getting back into shape, it also encourages Mother and baby bonding.

This class introduces you to the dynamic style of yoga that transformed the physiques of Madonna, Sting and Gwyneth Paltrow. Ashtanga (also known as Power Yoga) tones and lengthens the muscles by using a series of strength-based postures linked together by the “breath.” This intense form of yoga is energetic and invigorating and gives the body and mind a complete workout. Beginners welcome – all levels will be catered for!

A workout worth cheering about
Get your pompoms ready for the “Cheerleader Workout”
The cheerleader workout is a fitness class designed to include components of cheerleading, whilst toning and defining the body. The workout is brilliant fun, whilst still helping you achieve the body you want.
After a warm up, you are taught a sideline routine, which consists of a combination of moves and cheering that are repeated just like cheerleaders do on the sidelines at the game.
Once you mastered the sideline routine, the workout moves into what the instructor calls the “half-time” show. Here is where the work really begins as you learn a complete cheerleader routine involving kicks, jumps and dance steps, with a focus on cardiovascular training and strength.
Finally, there is the “core challenge” at the end of the workout that really works that stomach area and some gentle stretches for the major muscles in your arms, legs and back in order to relax the whole body.
Other than a good pair of running shoes, there isn't any special gear required. Pompoms are supplied.

Hula Cardiois
Hula Cardiois one of the few fitness classes that primarily targets your mid-section. With circular trunk movements, it directly works abdominal muscles, hips and waistlines. In fact, one minute of Hula Cardio burns as many calories as running an eight-minute mile or high impact aerobic class. In addition, Hula Cardio promotes correct body alignment from the circular motions and proper posture in the upper body routines. Because you are using the upper and lower body, it is excellent as an overall fat burner and in achieving that flat stomach. Why not give Hula Cardio a try for yourself, have a giggle and get your hula on!

Belly dancing
Belly dancing (or Egyptian dance) classes are welcoming, up beat, fun, and are attended by ladies of all ages, shapes and abilities - so there is something for all. The only problem is you may find yourself becoming addicted to the sensual exotic moves and music of the middle east.
Bellydance is great for the body and mind and is a great way to tone, burn calories and mobilise all your joints so help with those aches and pains. Don’t let things get you down, come along to class and shimmy your stress away and lift your spirits.

Information & Class Etiquette |
• Always arrive on time for your class, to ensure that
a safe warm-up is completed, avoiding injury and disruption
to the class.
• All non-members must complete a class PARQ form prior
to their participation.
• Your place will be given to another individual who
is on the class waiting list if you do not pay for the class
24 hours prior.
• If you are unable to participate in a class, 24 hours
notice MUST be given in order for the fee to be reimbursed.
• Entry to the class is not permitted once the class
has started.
• Please inform the class instructor if you are new
to a class, so that the appropriate guidance may be given.
• Glass bottles, chewing and/or eating are not permitted
in the studio at any time. Appropriate drinking containers
are allowed.
• To avoid injury to others, please leave all bags,
coats and personal property in the lockers provided.
• To be courteous to others please ensure all mobile
phones are switched off.
• The Club reserves the right to substitute instructors
and amend class times when/if required.
• Please ensure you wear appropriate footwear and clothing
allowing you to perform the class safely and effectively.
